About October 15, 2025

Plant-Rich Diet is an eating approach that emphasizes plant-based foods, reduces meat consumption, and promotes a more diverse intake of protein sources such as tofu, tempeh, and various plant-based products. It does not necessarily require being vegetarian or vegan. This approach not only benefits consumers’ health but also has positive impacts on the environment and contributes to sustainability. Therefore, the Office of National Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO) has initiated the Transition to a Plant-Rich Food System Project (2025–2027), which aims to achieve three key objectives: building a buyer–supplier network, driving policy through coordination with the public sector, and developing change leaders within the food system.
